Real estate prices are higher than it was before pandemic in 8 regions of Spain | REAL ESTATE TENERIFE

The Spanish real estate market continues to recover from the coronavirus crisis. This is confirmed by the latest statistics released by the notaries.
In March 2021, 59,692 apartments and houses were sold in Spain, which is 83.7% more compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, housing prices remained at 1,384 euros per square meter (4.7% less than in March 2020).

However, experts say that it is fair to compare prices not with March, but with February 2020, after the pandemic began, paralyzing the entire sector.
Housing prices in eight autonomous communities of Spain in March this year exceeded the indicators of February 2020. The most significant increase in prices occurred in Aragon, where housing prices rose by 11.5%.

Next regions are the Balearic and Canary Islands (5.5% and 5%, respectively). Less significant increases were seen in Asturias, Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia, while there are regions where prices are still significantly lower than before the pandemic. Most of all - in Navarra (by 22.4%), La Rioja (20.2%) and Cantabria (17.6%).
